In addition to our workshops EFPC offers a range of professional services designed to support filmmakers throughout the production process. Our goal is to make filmmaking more accessible and manageable by providing the tools and guidance needed to navigate the logistical and financial aspects of production.
Our workshops are at the core of what we do at EFPC, providing filmmakers with hands-on, practical learning experiences across a wide range of filmmaking techniques.
Through a series of sessions and hands-on exercises, participants will learn the qualities of a viable dramatic idea and how to transform it into a cohesive treatment with fully developed characters. They will then advance the project into a complete screenplay, focusing on impactful scene construction and compelling dialogue. The workshop centers on practical side, allowing each participant to develop their own idea step-by-step, culminating in a fully developed, production-ready short film script by the end of the workshop. About Wael Hamdy: Wael Hamdy is an Egyptian screenwriter born in 1974. Over his 25-year career, he has worked as a scriptwriter for more than twenty works across feature films and television series, most notably Mikano, El Bab Fe El Bab, Ras El Ghoul, El Toofan, Hepta: The Last Lecture, Tala'at Rouhi, Mofta'raq Toroq, and Baba Jah. He has also worked as a dramatic content developer and creative consultant for numerous Arab projects and streaming platforms. Once the open call is made, interested producers can submit their applications through a simple online form. We ask applicants to share information about their filmmaking experience, goals, and how they wish to contribute to the community.
