The Egyptian Film Producers Lab (EFPL) is a pilot project supported by Drosos Foundation and implemented by Baroud LLC, a Cairo-based organization established by leading professionals from the Egyptian film industry. EFPL is Egypt’s first incubator dedicated specifically to professional film producers, addressing a critical skills and entrepreneurship gap in the cinema and media sector. 

The project targets 15 emerging Egyptian film producers aged 18–35, with a focus on youth with limited access to professional training and industry networks. Through a yearlong, practice-oriented program of workshops, seminars, mentorship, and applied learning, participants develop technical, business, and soft skills needed to launch sustainable careers. 

Participants are supported to pitch projects to industry professionals, access employment, internships, and self-employment opportunities in Egypt and the wider MENA film and media industry. 

The Financial & Administrative Manager is responsible for the financial management, administrative operations, procurement administration, donor compliance, and financial reporting of the Egyptian Film Producers Lab (EFPL). The position ensures that all financial and administrative processes are conducted in accordance with donor requirements, applicable regulations, and EFPC policies and procedures. 

The Financial & Administrative Manager plays a critical role in ensuring financial accountability, operational efficiency, and compliance throughout the project lifecycle while serving as the primary financial focal point for coordination with Drosos on financial matters. 

Contract Duration: 12 Months | Employment Type: Full-Time (100% FTE) Financial & Administrative Manager for Egyptian Film Producers Lab (EFPL) Reporting: Managing Director and Project Manager 

 

Responsibilities: 

  • Technical Reporting & Compliance Coordination: Drosos Finance Manager 
  • Coordinates With: Program Manager; Marketing & Communications Manager; Monitoring, Consultants, Trainers, Service Providers, and Vendors 
  • Support the development and management of project budgets and financial forecasts. 
  • Monitor project expenditures against approved budgets. 
  • Maintain accurate financial records and budget tracking systems. 
  • Monitor cash flow and financial commitments throughout project implementation. 
  • Prepare budget projections and expenditure analyses as required. 
  • Track and manage financial expenditures related for the project. 
  • Ensure compliance with Drosos financial regulations, procedures, and reporting requirements. 
  • Coordinate directly with the Drosos Finance Officer regarding financial reporting, compliance matters, budget
  • monitoring, and procurement procedures. 
  • Maintain complete supporting documentation for all project expenditures. 
  • Respond to financial inquiries and requests from Drosos in a timely manner. 
  • Support donor monitoring visits and financial reviews. 
  • Develop and maintain procurement plans for project activities. 
  • Obtain quotations and prepare comparative procurement analyses. 
  • Prepare procurement files and supporting documentation. 
  • Ensure procurement processes comply with donor requirements and organizational procedures. 
  • Submit procurement recommendations and supporting documentation for approval by the Project Director. 
  • Maintain procurement records and documentation. 
  • Manage project contracts and administrative documentation. 
  • Support the contracting process for consultants, trainers, and service providers. 
  • Maintain project administrative records and archives. 
  • Ensure proper filing and documentation systems are maintained. 
  • Support logistical and administrative arrangements related to project implementation. 
  • Prepare periodic financial reports in accordance with donor requirements. 
  • Prepare financial reconciliations and expenditure statements. 
  • Monitor budget utilization and identify potential variances. 
  • Support financial audits and external reviews. 
  • Ensure timely submission of financial documentation and reports. 
  • Maintain audit-ready financial and administrative records. 
  • Support internal and external audit processes. 
  • Identify financial risks and recommend mitigation measures. 
  • Ensure proper internal controls are maintained throughout project implementation. 

Qualifications: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, Business Administration, Economics, Commerce, or a related field. 
  • Professional certifications in accounting, financial management, or procurement are considered an asset. 
  • Minimum 5 years of professional experience in financial management, administration, accounting, or donor-funded project management.  
  • Demonstrated experience managing project budgets and financial reporting. Experience working with donor-funded projects and compliance requirements.  
  • Experience managing procurement processes and contract administration.  
  • Experience supporting audits and financial reviews.  
  • Familiarity with nonprofit, cultural, or development sector financial management is preferred. 
  • Fluency in Arabic and English, both written and spoken.
